Introducing LEANS Australia
There are thousands of neurodivergent students in Australian classrooms today. But a gap in the curriculum means they won't be taught to understand or value their differences, and neither will their peers.
We're finally about to close that gap.
Learning About Neurodiversity at School (LEANS) is a free, classroom-ready program that gives teachers the tools to build empathy, insight and mutual understanding among all students.

Why is LEANS important?
For neurodivergent kids & their families?
LEANS is evidence-based and proven to improve understanding, acceptance and belonging for neurodivergent children in mainstream classrooms.
For all other kids?
Teachers deliver it to the whole class, so neurodivergent students and neurotypical students learn together.
For teachers?
LEANS has been mapped to the Australian Curriculum, meaning it naturally fits into everyday classroom teaching rather than becoming “one more thing” for educators.
For everyone else?
We've made sure LEANS will be free and widely accessible. Because it doesn't only help the neurodivergent kids. It helps everyone. It teaches our young people about respectful relationships, emotional wellbeing, empathy, and diversity in everyday life.
